Special Centenary gift presented to Spanish King Felipe VI
VCF president Anil Murthy met the Spanish monarch before last Saturday's Copa del Rey final
On behalf of Valencia CF, club president Anil Murthy met with the King of Spain, Felipe VI, in Seville before last weekend's Copa del Rey final.
In the encounter, Mr. Murthy presented the monarch with a commemorative Centenary gift of a linoleum produced by Valencian artist Verónica Deltoro, involving a sketch and gold leafing and inspired by the new VCF Centenary bat logo.
The King had previously made a dedication to the club in the official Centenary book, reading: "I congratulate Valencia Club de Fútbol, their players, employees and entire fanbase with all my affection, on the occasion of the celebration of their Centenary."
